MANAGEMENT

Kenneth S. Zelinsky
President/Owner

Ken is involved with all aspects of the business, but focus’s most of his time on the Industrial Division. Ken estimates the industrial projects and works with his team of project managers and foreman to make sure that we deliver quality installations and service to our clients.

Lari L. Zelinsky-Bloom
Vice President / Operations Manager

Moved to Hawaii and started with the company in 2002. Lari is responsible for the day to day operations. She oversees the estimators on bid selection and distribution; works with the administration team; handles human resources; reviews contracts and negotiations; works with our professional team of bankers, insurance broker, CPA and attorney; reviews job costs and project status; etc., etc, etc.

John D. Bloom
Director of Business Development / Project Manager

Moved to Hawaii and started with the company in 2002. John is responsible to generate business and develop relationships. He is also very active in working with the estimators and foremen on the larger projects with project management; trouble shooting; quality control; keeping the projects within budget; and most of all, project safety. John also manages the employees in the warehouse and is responsible for job site deliveries, equipment purchases, and material & equipment inventory.

Sung Man U “Johnny U”
General Superintendent

Started with the company in 1977. Johnny U has been a loyal team member for the past 31 years. Johnny started out with Ken as a field worker and worked his way up to Superintendent. Johnny U is Ken’s right arm and is an important and valuable part of this team. Johnny runs the field for the Commercial Division with a workforce averaging 70 men.

FIELD OPERATIONS

Mike Glandon
Industrial Superintendent

Mike started with the company in 2003 as an industrial foreman and has moved up to Superintendent of the Industrial Operations. Mike is responsible for running the industrial field workforce averaging 10 men along with job safety. Mike comes from a long history of industrial applications and is NACE certified.

Darren Yamasaki
Assistant Commercial Superintendent / Project Manager

Started with the company in 2007 and is responsible in assisting the estimators with project management and assisting Johnny U in setting up and managing the smaller projects. Darren has over 15 years experience with commercial painting, starting from the warehouse and progressing to the field and then project management.

ESTIMATING &
PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Kathy Joslin
Estimator / Project Manager

Started with the company in 2000, Kathy has been part of the estimating team for a total of 15 years. Leaving the company at one time and returning in 2000. Kathy has 20 years of experience in estimating and estimates/project manages all types of commercial projects ranging from small projects to projects over 3M.

Bill Nolan
Estimator / Project Manager

Started with the company in 2005, Bill moved to Hawaii from Washington D.C. and started for Zelinsky as an entry estimator. Bill was a partner in a painting company in Washington D.C. for many years and has experience in the field of painting and wall covering installation. Bill estimates all types of commercial projects from small project to projects over 3M.

Mark Knock
Estimator / Project Manager

Started with the company in 1991. Mark came from owning his own painting company to working for Zelinsky as an estimator developing his skills under Ken’s mentoring. Mark left Zelinsky in 2004 to pursue a career in ministry and has returned to Zelinsky as an independent contractor.

Andy Shigeta
Industrial Project Manager

Started with the company 2008. Andy comes with many years of experience in the General Contracting field as a Superintendent and project manager. Andy works closely with Ken Zelinsky in the industrial division with the project management.

ADMINISTRATION

Inday Ramos
Accountant / Administrative Superintendent

Inday started with the company in 2006. Inday is the accountant responsible for overseeing the accounts payable, receivables, and payroll. Other duties include working with our CPA, financials, creditors, and bankers.

Lani Shimabuku
Accounts Payable

Lani started with the company in 1985. Starting with the company as receptionist and administration assistant. Lani’s dedication and loyalty has advanced within the company to accounts payable. Lani is responsible for payables, union reconciliations and numerous miscellaneous administration duties.

Andrea Jeter
Accounts Receivable & Payroll

Andrea started with the company in 2005. Responsible for answering phones; processing billings; certified payroll; payroll; along with many other administration duties.

WAREHOUSE

Eric Souze
Mechanic

Eric started with the company in 1993. Responsible for the equipment and vehicle maintenance. Eric is valuable in making sure that our equipment is running efficiently and maintained in safe running order.

Mike Lynch
Warehouseman / Driver

Mike started with the company in 2005. He is responsible for keeping the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner and keeping inventory organized. He is also responsible for job site deliveries and pickup.
